How do I manage inward referrals (MC Portal)?

Step 1

If your clinic has received a patient referral from a facility or another clinic, you can expect to see it on the Inward tab under the Referrals section.

Go to your clinic portal, and scroll down until you see "Inward".

Step 2

Choose any referrals from the list with an "Active" status.

Step 3

You will be presented with 4 options:

Void
Assign back to facility
Assign to a different clinic
Create appointment

Choose whichever applies to the patient referral.

You may void a patient referral if your clinic can't accommodate the patient.

To void a patient triage:

Click "Void".

A void referral modal asking if you are sure you want to void this referral will pop-up.

Click the final "Void" button.

You may also return the referral to the facility by clicking "Assign back to facility".

If available, another option for inward patient referrals that cannot be accommodated is to assign the referral to another clinic under your organization.

Click "Assign to a different clinic".

Select the clinic you wish to refer the patient to.

Enter note.

Click "Save".

If you have already reviewed the details and can accommodate a patient inwards referral, you may proceed to creating an appointment.

Click "Create Appointment".

Select doctor.

Select "Service".

Select appointment date and time.

Enter the chief complaint of the patient.

Click "Save".

An appointment will now be created between the doctor and the patient.
