# How do I deactivate doctors in my clinic?

Deactivating doctors in your clinic is a crucial function that allows you to manage your clinic's active medical staff effectively. This guide will walk you through the steps required to deactivate a doctor in your clinic, ensuring that your clinic's roster is always up to date. Whether a doctor is retiring, or no longer associated with your clinic, this process ensures that your clinic's scheduling and services reflect only the currently active providers.

### Step 1

Go to your clinic portal, and click **"Doctors"**.

### Step 2

Choose a **doctor** from the list which you want to deactivate.

### Step 3

Click **"Deactivate"**.

### Step 4

A **confirmation modal** will pop-up asking if you're sure that you want to deactivate the doctor.

|| NOTE: Deactivating will prevent patients from booking appointments with this doctor. The doctor will still have access to their account but will be hidden from the clinic's active list.

Click **"Deactivate"** to finalize the action.

As confirmation of the deactivation, you will see an **alert message** on the upper right corner of the screen.
